**Doyle: The following is a document on ancient Yadanoda artifacts acquired from the Ravenswood library by [[Travel Journal - The Sekai Sailors|The Sekai Sailors]]. It was send from a Scribe named "Asmael" to [[Percival Spellwhiskers]] during the time he was still a scribe at the Potentiatrix. **Dated:** 1748 AA **Written by:** Scribe Asmael of the Shiranoshi Castle ## Foreword This is marvelous my dear Albrecht! Adventurers have stumble upon what could be the greatest treasure to ever be discovered in Sekai, A treasure chest filled with artifacts marked by a three-legged crow! You understand what this means right? These ancient artifacts were likely stolen ages ago by non-other then the great thief **Yatagarasu** himself!! As you understand these items must be transported to Celestia as soon as possible! Given the history and value of these artifacts I suggest we split the artifacts and let renowned groups of adventures take each piece to the capital using separate routes. There are 4 artifacts in total, I have accounted for them on the following pages. ### The Jade Necklace Material: Silver chain with three sizable jade gems. Remarks: The necklace seems to be an old jewelry accessory likely belonging to a noble family of Shiranoshi, there is a name etched into the back but time has worn it and the writing has become illegible. ![[Jade Necklace.webp|418]] ### The Ornate Chalice Material: An ornate golden chalice with a sapphire gem socketed into it. ![[The Ornate Chalice.webp|413]] Remarks: The sides of the chalice show depictions of noble warriors in shining armor like paladins. Upon close inspection we also noticed something peculiar, the area the gem is socketed into appears to be less worn than most of the chalice as if the gem itself was added to the chalice a later date! However, I must not speculate till a master alchemist has been able to observe the materials for themselves. ### The Whip Necklace Material: Silver with a ruby at the center. ![[The Whip Necklace.webp|409]] Remarks: This necklace is marvelous! When pressure is put onto the ruby at its center the necklace unclasps and reforms itself into a whip! According to the court wizard this item possesses no Arcane which would lead us to believe it to be a creation of the dwarven! A prospect that is fascinating considering this Necklace dates back far before the first “mechanical” creations of the dwarven kingdom! **Percival EDIT: Perhaps[[Travel Journal - The Chaos Crew| The Chaos Crew]] can learn more about its origins on their visit to the Frostfire Isle? ### The Hairpin of a Nightingale Material: Golden with a ruby eye. Remarks: This small hairpin is shaped like a nightingale it seems like a fairly ordinary hairpin for the time yet it was kept in the chest with the other artifacts meaning it must have had some sort of significant value to Yatagarasu. ![[Nightingale Hairpin.webp|406]]]
